Sunway collaborates with Habitat for Humanity Malaysia
Sunway Integrated Properties (SIP) participated in the ‘HOUSE BUILD 2011’ project, which saw corporate entities come together and rebuild homes for the less fortunate in the rural areas. Donation made by SIP was utilized to rebuild homes for 2 families in Kampung Labak Awas of the Keningau district of Sabah. Both families of Encik Ambrose bin Samih and Encik Judah bin Oboh were thankful to be selected for the project and were ecstatic to receive the keys to their newly refurbished homes.
The project initiated Habitat for Humanity Malaysia and the Ministry of Housing and Local Government is aimed at eliminating inadequate living space by building and rebuilding simple and safe homes. The ‘HOUSE BUILD’ project encourages collaboration between property developers, the non-profit organization Habitat for Humanity, government agencies and local communities.
