Lucky Sunway Property Purchaser Walks Away With A RM500,000 Serviced Residence At Our Final Buyers' Appreciation Event

In a culmination of our 40th Anniversary celebration, more than 3,000 new purchasers, with their family and friends, came together to celebrate Sunway Property’s year-long campaign in the final installation of our Buyer’s Appreciation Events. Throughout the year, more than 1,000 property purchasers had purchased properties across the region from the Klang Valley, Ipoh, Penang and Johor, putting them in the running for the grand prize. 

The final Buyer’s Appreciation Event was held across the region with a live feed of the event broadcast from Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre (SPCC) in the Klang Valley, to the event held in Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, and Sunway Hotel Georgetown in Penang.  

Upon registration, guests at SPCC had the opportunity to visit booths from Sunway entities and more. Sunway Medical Centre offered the guests free BMI and blood tests; Sunway University offered scholarships of up to RM25,000 for MBA Applications and a special bursary of RM10,000 for pre-enrolment in Sunway International School at Sunway Iskandar; Sunway Pals also had a booth there for purchasers to sign up for their exclusive membership; MySunwayProperty offered its subscribers first-hand news on Sunway Property and complimentary tickets to events and movie screenings; the Lost World of Tambun offered up to a 67% discount on Lost World Hotel stays, Montblanc gave guests 15% off all items and Barry Smith offered exciting discounts on their merchandise. 

Guests were also treated to an entertaining afternoon with engaging performances by world-class lion dance association, Kun Seng Keng; the Sunway University Ensemble; entertainer Charles Barnabas; and musician extraordinaire, Dato’ Leonard Tan.

At the event, cash prizes worth more than RM150,000 were awarded to a total of 27 lucky purchasers across the region.

Mohd Khidir bin Mohd Noordin, 35, and Chiam Swee Poh, 48, both winners of the RM2,888 and RM8,888 cash prizes respectively, said they felt lucky to have shared such a rewarding partnership with Sunway Property.

In Johor Bahru, Eng Ser Chin, a Sunway Iskandar Designer Offices purchaser, walked away with RM13,888 during the event and was proud to share that his experience with Sunway Property had been exceptional and he looked forward to participating in more events and receiving more great rewards us.

Lim Soo Lan, a purchaser who bought a Sunway Montana unit, walked away with the grand cash prize of RM40,000 and said that she was speechless and excited about her win. “I am very happy with the win. From the moment I walked into Sunway Montana’s townhouse show unit, I was impressed with the signature double-volume ceiling and the service was beyond expectation. A big thank you to Sunway Property for an amazing event.”

The event’s grand prize winner, Mr Mah walked away with a unit of Citrine Serviced Residences located in Sunway Iskandar’s Lakeview precinct. Having purchased from Sunway Velocity, he revealed that he was very excited and happy with his win and hoped that Sunway Property would have similar events that will add value for its customers.

During the event, Sarena Cheah, Sunway Property’s Joint Managing Director of Malaysia and Singapore, delivered a deeply heart-felt speech, she said that the trust and belief from Sunway’s communities are the two crucial elements that have inspired Sunway Property to come this far and will propel the developer to go even further as a Master Community Developer. 

“In these 40 years, from building homes in the first decade starting from 1974, Sunway has progressed to define townships in the next. From townships, we have progressed to building communities, and that is the purpose you are truly are supporting by being part of the Sunway family – communities that are not only designed for the enrichment of your generation, but also the next.”

She also said that as its communities’ partner in growth, Sunway is looking to build a closer relationship with both its existing and new communities in 2015.
