Sunway Strenghtens Its Presence in Penang

“We Are Sunway” campaign officially launched by the VIPs at the Ground Breaking Ceremony of Sunway Property @ Anson.
Georgetown, Penang, 2 August 2016 – Sunway Property, the Master Community Developer and Malaysia’s leading property developer, held an official ground breaking ceremony of Sunway Property @ Anson - its upcoming Penang regional office and sales gallery. The new building will be strategically located at Jalan Anson beside Wisma TNB.

The ground breaking ceremony at the site location was graced by Sarena Cheah, Managing Director of Property Development Division for Malaysia and Singapore, Sunway Berhad and Tan Wee Bee, Deputy Managing Director, Property Development Division Malaysia & Singapore, Sunway Berhad. Joined by Yang Berhormat Chow Kon Yeow, Penang State Exco Member for Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation. The honoured guests joined the Sunway Property management team in officiating the event with Tan Wee Bee operated the CASE excavator to symbolise the commencement of building works.

In support of the local government’s ambition in creating a cleaner and greener Penang, Sunway Property is committed in building its 2-storey office with a sustainable design setting amidst the 20,000 sq ft land. Sunway also aims to obtain the Green Building Index (GBI) certification for its office building as well as working towards a Green Office Project. The Penang regional office and sales gallery is scheduled for completion in April 2017.

“We are pleased to finally reveal our plans for Sunway Property @ Anson to all Penangites. The office and sales gallery will provide a state-of-the-art facility that offers convenience and quality experience for our customers and visitors to better understand our integrated products across various regions in Malaysia,” said Sarena Cheah, Managing Director of Property Development Division for Malaysia and Singapore.

During the event, Sunway Property also unveiled the “We are Sunway” campaign that aims to bring together all Sunway’s business units in Penang, namely Property, Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare, Education as well as Manufacturing and Trading, in providing a sustainable living for the communities in Penang.

With upcoming plans for the Education and Healthcare components in Penang, Sunway will also integrate its Manufacturing and Trading division to the Northern region. This follows the recent partnership with CASE Construction Equipment appointing Sunway Enterprise as its authorised full-line dealer in Malaysia.
