4th March 2022-Handover and Opening Ceremony of SJK (C) Cheah Fah @ Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Johor
4 March 2022 was a huge milestone for Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, as the official opening and handover ceremony of SJK (C) Cheah Fah marked the end of a 20-year wait for Johor Bahru's first brand new Chinese school.
The ceremony was officiated by the minister of transport YB Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong and Sunway Group’s founder and chairman Ybhg Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah AO witnessed by deputy education minister YB Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon and SJK (C) Cheah Fah building committee chairman Ybhg Dato’ Steve Chong Yoon On.
Built on five acres of land, the school was the brainchild of our founder and chairman who has always been a strong advocate for education. Comprising two academic blocks, a multipurpose hall and various facilities, the school is set to nurture the next generation of Malaysians for decades to come, in line with our commitment to nation-building and creating a sustainable future for all.
25th March 2022 to 25th May 2022 – 'My Serene Moments' Photo Contest @ Sunway Serene, Petaling Jaya
Capture nature’s best moments with one click! In collaboration with Persatuan Fotografi Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Property organised the My Serene Moments photo contest featuring their best-selling project – Sunway Serene. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for Sunway Serene, capitalise on the event and the prizes on offer to build a strong brand identity, and promote the project’s green and peaceful environment. This competition is open to all Malaysian residents, and participants are required to snap photos that fit the theme at Sunway Serene, or anywhere within its vicinity — from the vast lake to the lush greenery.
4th March 2022 to 7th March 2022 – International Women’s Day 2022 with Sunway Property
In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Sunway Property engaged the wonderful women staff across its offices nationwide to showcase what they hope for as a woman. Participants expressed their hearts' desires on a blank sheet of paper, with core messages of happiness and hope. This initiative was conducted virtually, with the collage of photos being assembled into a GIF and posted on social media.
26th March 2022 – Lights Off for Earth Hour 2022 with Sunway Property
The intent behind Earth Hour is not just about turning off lights for an hour; it is to remind people of the importance of sustainability – that each and every one of us plays a vital role in making this earth a better place. In conjunction with Earth Hour and aligning with Sunway Group's goal of achieving net zero by 2050, Sunway Property encouraged the Sunway Community to join forces with 2 million people across 192 countries and territories in switching off all lights and non-essential electrical appliance. More than 30 Sunway Property residential and commercial developments across Malaysia participated in Lights Off For Earth Hour 2022, which included Menara Sunway, Sunway GEOLake, Sunway Emerald Residence, Sunway Property @ Anson, Penang and many more.
29th March 2022 – COVID-19 Self-Test Kit Packing @ Menara Sunway
As the country slowly moves into the endemic stage, it is still vital for all of us to play a part in ensuring that the place we work or live in remains healthy and safe for everyone. With that in mind, Sunway Property's Human Resource department, with the help of volunteers from the Finance and Brand Strategy & Communications departments packed COVID-19 test kits and distributed them to all employees. Sunway Property is hoping that all staff can stay safe during the Covid-19 outbreak and work together to defeat it.
12th March 2022 – 27 March 2022 – Delicious Events @ Sunway Property Sales Galleries
The month of March was made sweeter by Sunway Property with multiple events ongoing at Sunway Property Sales Galleries in the Klang Valley. Sunway Velocity TWO Sales Gallery hosted a Machi Machi Milk Tea Event and a Dáo Desserts Event on two weekends in March. The activities brought a total of 38 groups of people for an exclusive glimpse of the new show unit. Separately on two weekends as well, Jernih Residences Property Gallery hosted a Jom Coffee Event. The gallery staff took the registrants and walk-in guests on a tour of the new show unit, giving them a one-of-a-kind visitation experience.
Sunway Belfield Sales Gallery also hosted an event with La Juiceria on 19th and 20th March 2022 where a total of 22 groups of visitors walked in and visited Sunway Belfield's new show unit in conjunction with the new launch of Sunway Belfield Tower C. In addition to that, Sunway d’hill Property Gallery successfully hosted a Coffee & Chat Event and A Dáo-licious Treat Event on two weekends in March. Both of Sunway d’hill Residences’ events brought in a total of 74 groups of visitors.
