6th May 2021 - Sunway City Iskandar Puteri Social Linkage’s Buka Puasa
The Sunway City Iskandar Puteri Social Linkage team celebrated Buka Puasa by distributing packed food to the whole team. This activity was held at Sunway City Iskandar Puteri's office at level 7 of Sunway Citrine to share the Raya spirit amongst colleagues.
15th May 2021 - 30th May 2021 – Sunway Property Virtual Raya Contest
To create the spirit of togetherness during the Raya festivity, Sunway Property held a “Virtual Raya Contest” on both Facebook and Instagram, where users were able to participate by uploading a picture of themselves and their family with the Virtual Raya background and tagging Sunway Property in their respective posts.
The grand prize winner stood a chance to win a Buffet Dinner for 3 at The Resort Café at Sunway Resort Hotel, while 5 consolation prize winners will each get a Nando’s voucher worth RM 50 in Sunway Pals Points.
The contest saw many creative submissions, with some even showcasing their poetry skills in the comment section. The contest lasted from 15th May to 30th May, to celebrate the Raya holidays.
20th May 2021 - Sunway and NEC Malaysia Charts New Journey with New Centre of Excellence
NEC Malaysia expands its footprint at Sunway City Iskandar Puteri with the planned opening of its innovation centre of excellence in January 2023 at Sunway Big Box Office Tower. NEC Malaysia’s Innovation Centre of Excellence (CoE) is temporarily located at Sunway Citrine Hub in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Johor, while awaiting the completion of Sunway Big Box Office Tower to relocate its managed services and contact centre operations for their customers in SEA region.
Located at Sunway’s first large format retail park, NEC Malaysia will occupy the entire Level 2 of the 12-storey office tower, with approximately 20,474 sq ft. gross floor area and a nett floor area of approximately 17,050 sq ft. The Sunway Big Box Office Tower is expected to complete its development by Q2 2022, allowing NEC Malaysia to start fresh in January 2023.

Raya Cheer
6th and 8th May 2021 - Raya Cheer @ Batu Maung, Penang
Sunway contributed 50 boxes of groceries as well as 1,000 packs of Bubur Lambuk to the community at Batu Maung. Sunway gives back to the communities where we build, own and operate in accordance to Sunway’s plans to spread the Raya cheer this year. These events were attended by YB Dato' Hj Abdul Halim Hussain, ADUN of Batu Maung.
7th May 2021 – Raya Cheer @ Seberang Jaya, Penang
A handover ceremony of groceries contribution was held at Seberang Jaya in conjunction with Raya Cheer 2021.
As one of the customs of the Ramadhan month is giving or zakat, Sunway intends to practice the act of charitable giving to support the underprivileged during this period. With this in mind, the activity was held in collaboration with YB Dr. Afif Bahardin, ADUN Seberang Jaya, to contribute 200 boxes of groceries to the B40 communities in Seberang Jaya.
10th May 2021 – Raya Cheer @ Bayan Lepas, Penang
Sunway reached out to 50 underprivileged families at Bayan Lepas during the Ramadhan month.
In collaboration with YB Azrul, ADUN Bayan Lepas, Sunway handed over 50 boxes of groceries to help out the community in need.
19th and 20th May 2021 – Distribution of Groceries and Raya packed meals @ Rumah Titian Kasih, Pertubuhan Rahoma Darul Fakir, Persatuan Kebajikan Al-Fikrah Malaysia
On May 19th, Sunway sponsored groceries to orphanages and old folk’s homes in Kuala Lumpur. In collaboration with Sunway Property, the groceries were distributed by the Malaysian Red Crescent Society team. Sunway also organized the distribution of packed Raya meals for 100 people at each of the old folk’s homes and orphanages on 20th May 2021. The Raya packed lunch was prepared by Sunway Putra Hotel, and was delivered to the old folks and orphans as well as the caretakers in the spirit of Raya Cheer.
21st May 2021 – Raya Cheer @ Ipoh
In accordance with Raya Cheer, Sunway donated RM300 worth of groceries to 3 orphanage homes.
In collaboration with Sunway City (Ipoh) Sdn Bhd, the activity was attended by the team of Sunway City Ipoh, as they assisted in distributing the goods to each of the orphanage homes on 21st of May 2021.
24th and 27th May 2021 – Distribution of Groceries and Raya packed meals @ Pusat Jagaan Baitus Sofwah, Pusat Jagaan Nur Barakah, and Pusat Jagaan Telaga Kasih Nur Muhammad
On 24th May, Sunway sponsored groceries to homes in Selangor, which was delivered by the Malaysian Red Crescent Society. In collaboration with Sunway Property, Sunway also contributed Raya packed lunch for 100 people at each home on 27th of May. Sunway Resort prepared the Raya meals, and it was then promptly delivered to the old folks and orphans as well as the caretakers at their homes.
