4th June 2021- Donation of a unit of High Flow Nasal Cannula device @ Penang General Hospital
Sunway contributed 1 unit of High Flow Nasal Cannula oxygen treatment device to Penang General Hospital to further assist the treatment for infected patients in view of the critical Covid-19 situation in Malaysia. Mr Fong Choon Fuoi, General Manager of Sunway Property Penang presented the contribution on behalf of Sunway to Muhammad Irfan and Wan Mu'ammar Haikal, who are Assistant Medical Officers at the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Department in Penang General Hospital.
June – World Environment Day
To celebrate World Environment Day, Sunway Property collaborated with Sunway FutureX Farm by gathering over 8,000 Malaysians to join the United Nation’s global #GenerationRestoration movement. Since 29 May, Sunway Property organised social media contests, various virtual workshops and a virtual talk with various prizes up for grabs.
5th June 2021- "Reimagine the Future of Diet" Virtual Workshop
In conjunction with World Environment Day, Sunway FutureX Farm organised “Reimagine the Future of Diet” Virtual Workshop, the second workshop in the 3-series virtual workshops organised in collaboration with Sunway Property to help educate the public how to grow their own food at home, eat sustainably and turn food waste into compost. Held via Zoom, this virtual workshop was all about educating the public to consume a sustainable diet and explore alternative proteins to promote healthy eating while saving the planet. Speakers who were present during the workshop were Tse Chien, FutureX Farm Community Manager, Joyce Shih, Integrative Nutritional Coach & Plant-based recipes developer, Kevin Wu, founder & CEO of Ento, Nicholas Ou, founder of Spargoeats and Datin Maziah Binti Omar, General Manager of Phuture Daging. To encourage participation, Sunway Property sponsored the participation fees for 65 participants who registered their interest via the Sunway Property App. As part of the workshop, participants also received an alternative meat meal kit that consists of cricket-based burger patties by Ento and plant-based proteins by Phuture Daging to try at home.
12th June 2021- "Reimagining the Future of Cities" Virtual Talk
In conjunction with World Environment Day, Sunway Property organised the “Reimagining the Future of Cities” Virtual Talk. Held via Zoom and Facebook live, the talk was to educate the public on sustainability, food security, the benefits of plant-based diets and how urban farms transform the future of cities. Attendees gained fresh insights and learned ways to live a sustainable future from industry experts, Dr. Susianto Tseng, the Founder and President of the World Vegan Organisation (WVO) and Eleanor Choong, the Head of Sunway FutureX Farm.
19th June 2021- Go Green Grow Your Own Food Virtual Workshop
Organised by Sunway Property, residents of Sunway Mont and Sunway Gandaria were invited to attend the “Go Green Grow Your Own Food” Virtual Workshop that was held virtually via Zoom by Sunway FutureX Farm. The workshop provided an insight on the current food security and urban farm landscape as well as an introduction to urban farming. Attendees were also given Mini Farm kits while a virtual demonstration on growing vegetables hydroponically was shown live during the session.
21st– 27th June 2021- Distribution of dinner meals packed for frontliners @ Indera Mulia Stadium, Perak
Sunway Lost World of Tambun team packed dinner meals and delivered them to Indera Mulia Stadium, Perak for 7 days. The dinner meals were distributed to the frontliners who were on duty at Indera Mulia Stadium, Perak in appreciation of their hard work. Due to the limited operation hours for eateries and restaurants to open until no later than 8pm during MCO; the packed dinner meal was provided so frontliners would not have to go through the trouble of grabbing their food after long voluntary working hours. A total of 1,750 beneficiaries received the packed dinner meals.
25th June 2021 - Sunway Property donates to Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Setiawangsa
Under the #SunwayforGood initiative, Sunway Property contributed RM 30,000 to Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Setiawangsa. Located near Sunway Property's upcoming project - Sunway Artessa, the initiative was to provide aid to the community affected by the EMCO in that area. Sunway Property Executive Director of Central Region Chong Sau Min presented the mock cheque to Member of Parliament of Setiawangsa YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
June- July 2021- Beauty of City Living (BOCL) Campaign – Stay Home Bonus
In order to promote home ownership and further boost sales during the current FMCO period, the BOCL campaign offers packages that are able to help purchasers ease their burden of owning a home during this difficult time. The digital campaign started since March this year, and was extended until end of July.
Customers who made a booking in the month of June enjoyed an additional Stay Home Bonus, where a RM1,000 shopping voucher is rewarded, as well as being entitled to weekly giveaways and a chance to win an iPad Pro or a Dyson Pro Cleaner worth a total of RM28,000. Due to the overwhelming responses, the weekly giveaways were extended to the customers who made their bookings in the month of July as well.
The projects applicable for the campaign were Sunway Serene, Sunway Velocity TWO, Sunway Belfield and Sunway Avila.
